Gary Peters came to Exeter City on 25 February 2003, with the Club having just 13 games to avoid relegation to the Conference. While Exeter only lost 3 games with Gary Peters in charge they were still relegated.

With the Club going in to administration, and having to release a number of players and unable to sign new players, Peters resigned on 24th May 2003.
