Jim McNichol had two spells with Exeter City. He came to Exeter City from Brentford in July 1984. He stayed for two seasons before moving to Torquay United in July 1986.
Jim McNichol returned to Exeter for a second spell at the club in August 1989 and was part of the Grecians’ Fourth Division Championship winning squad of 1990.
He rejoined Torquay United in July 1991.
McNichol had a testimonial match in May 1992 when Exeter City hosted West Ham United at St James’ Park.
